WINDOWS PHONE 8 (codenamed ‘Apollo’) UPCOMING 2012 WINDOWS OPERATING SYS TEM FOR CELL PHONE FOR NOKIA SAMSUNG

Windows Phone 8 will add support for Multi-Core processors, four new screen resolutions (exact pixel counts are unknown) and removable MicroSD card slot. Microsoft is clearly intending to settle-out the most-talked-about drawbacks of WP with Apollo.
Windows Phone 8 ‘Apollo’ will also support NFC. You’d be able to make secure transactions on-the-go and share files with another NFC-supported devices just with a tap, thanks to that.
The code will be very similar in Windows 8 (the desktop OS) and Windows Phone 8. Allowing developers to easily port their desktop apps to WP8 or vice-versa. Microsoft expects 100,000 applications in the marketplace by the time Windows Phone 8 launches. The Zune Client is set to get replaced with a richer version of ActiveSync. Windows Phone 8 will be based on the Windows 8 kernel.

Windows Phone 8 will feature DataSmart, which aims to reduce, and simplify the tracking of, data usage. The phone will automatically connect to Wi-Fi hotspots when available and Bing Local scout can display local hotspots in maps.
Microsoft is planning to integrate a server-side compression technology in the Internet Explorer 10 Mobile that’ll come with WP8, like seen in Opera Mini. Windows Phone 8 will also add native BitLocker Encryption, the same 128-bit encryption as seen in recent desktop Windows operating systems. (Ultimate and up)
So, apparently the Windows Phone 8 ‘Apollo’ is going to add a lot of new features, most of which seem interesting to me. Microsoft is mainly aiming to resolve the main drawbacks of WP 7.5 Mango and their second attempt would be to make the OS more interesting and visually dynamic. Apollo is set to release in the forth quarter of 2012.
