HCL all set to launch Y2 Tablet at a price of Rs.18000 gadgetszone review gadgets tablets

HCL, one of the leading computer systems makers has announced that it is soon going to launch a new tablet known as ‘Y2’ in the Indian markets. This tablet is HCL’s attempt at joining the league of the big players in the tablet market such as Samsung etc and make its own mark.

HCL Y2 shall be launched with the Android 4.0 version which is called Ice Cream Sandwich which is Google’s latest operating system. When it comes to the form factor, HCL Y2 will have a 7 inch display screen with a good resolution count and content quality. As far as reports from HCL are concerned, this latest tablet is expected to be released in August this year. The connectivity options which will be supported by Y2 are Wifi and 3G, which is a rare specification when it comes to tablets.
HCL Y2 will come onboard with a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor which will be clubbed with a 512MB RAM for a decent processing speed. Users will also have access to the HCL Me App Store from where applications can be downloaded easily. HCL Y2 shall be priced somewhere around Rs15000-Rs 18000 for the Indian markets.
